DAMIR DOMA Men's Autumn Winter 2013-14

 Taking cues from the integral classicism of alpine sports,Damir Doma injects an aura of athletic frisson into his ascetic wardrobe for Autumn Winter 2013-14. 

 Reversing keystone ideals, rigid structure is bestowed upon fluid shapes or released from traditional garments, displacing notions of formality. 

  Doma’s East European roots and the naiveties of adolescence are celebrated through both pattern and touch, with echoes of the Bauhaus movement and a perpetual grace.   

In a diversion from the organic, Damir Doma re-imagines static bouclé, washed checks and corduroy in harmony with nylon and leather, forging resolute symmetries with a bold, textural depth.


Defining the silhouette, a contrast stripe frames the shoulders at 90° down the back, in a graphic treatment carried throughout the collection.

Retro ski knits, scarves and caps reminiscent of a lunar cycle punctuate the collection with an air of psychadelia. 

Elsewhere grid-check cotton or silk shirts akin to surgical scrubs are buttoned in a V-neck or down the right shoulder, curving into a rounded sleeve identical to cropped blousons & belted overcoats.
